Where the prices come from
Every morning we read the per-token prices published in OpenRouter's public model list and convert them to USD per million tokens. A provider's own API can price the same model differently, and batch or cached rates apply only where they are shown.
Price per token is not cost per task
A cheaper model that needs more calls or retries can cost more per finished task. Take the rates from this table into the LLM cost per task calculator, or read the cost per task guide.
